At my bookstore yesterday, I saw that he wrote an introduction to the Eggers-edited volume of the 2007 Best Non-Required Reading. I didn't read the intro, but for me it seemed quite a stretch, intended to make this book seem even more hip. But now it appears Stevens isn't just a musician and songwriter at all...

And actually, I think he has performed at benefit concerts for some youth writing center nonprofit that Eggers founded, so that makes sense.

Hopefully someday people will be talking about things that are Applegarth-assembled.
